Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha: SUT, the temple of light and freedom
In the framework of his visit to Macedonia, the Albanian Prime Minister, Mr. Sali Berisha, stayed at the State University of Tetova, where he was welcomed by lot of students, professors and administrative staff of the university. The Prime Minister Berisha, accompanied by his closest associates, met the Rector of SUT, Prof. Dr. Agron Reka, who was accompanied by Vice-Rectors, Prof. Dr. Ismail Ahmedi, Prof. Dr. Reshat Qahili, Prof. Dr. Serafim Tomovski, and the General Secretary, Mr. Adem Beadini, Head of International Relations Office, Valdrina Fetai and Head of the Information Office, Mr. Selam Sulejmani.
Rector of the University of Tetova, Mr. Reka thanked Prime Minister Berisha for this important visit, indicating that the presence of Albanian Prime Minister through this visit is a great honor to the University. "Academic staff and students of the State University of Tetova feel more proud than ever, because it is the first visit of an Albanian Prime Minister in our University, the man who more than anyone else contributed to the education, science and national culture, in Albania and outside it", said Rector Reka.
Prime Minister Berisha thanked Mr. Reka and the academic staff for the cordial and brotherly welcome and took the opportunity to express his more profound reverence for those who founded this university at Tetova, 16 years ago, transforming this into a real temple of light and freedom for Albanians in Macedonia and elsewhere in the world.
Prime Minister Berisha assured that Albanian universities in Tirana and throughout Albania will cooperate with the State University of Tetova and will do everything our university to consolidate the values of freedom, tolerance, understanding and European vision of the Albanians.
In sign of acknowledgement and gratitude for the visit to the State University of Tetova, for his special commitment to education, science and culture, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha, was awarded by the Rector of SUT, Prof. Dr. Agron Reka a University plaquette with the university seal and establishment date 1994 in it.
