Bologna process opens European perspectives of knowledge
Application of Bologna process was a subject of the discussion which was held on 3 may of this year (Thursday night), in the amphitheater of SUT. In this discussion were invited prof.dr Veselin Peculi, rector of agricultural university of Tirana, prof.dr Velimir Stojkovski, vice rector of university “Saint Cirili and Metodi” in Shkup, professor Luan Ahma, vice rector of University of Prishtina and professor Petrit Pollozhani, dean in the faculty of economic in SUT and also there were present other professors, students and school leaving candidates in Tetova.
Academic restructuring post nineties after the years 90 in Albania brought an evident crises, while there was a small hope in the Bologna process to be a part of Europe said Dr. Peculi in his discussion for this subject and he also introduced us with the circumstances in Albania.
According to him the essential idea of Bologna process is the globalization of university system. Dr. Peculi stressed that this process requires time and hard work to be applied and it is impossible to have sufficient results at this moment therefore the orientation should be left for the new generations.
According to vice rector of Skopje University, Professor Dr. Velimir Stojkovski, the Bologna process is a matter of polemics, although here already started to be applied. Paper of Bologna is a document signed by many universities rectors that has intended for the application of the changes in the field of knowledge acumulation,because the universities are centers of investigations to appropriate new scientific knowledge for the world progress. This process is in its growth and in meanwhile there are universities of the 46 states, said professor .dr. Luan Ahma.
According to him Bologna process doesn’t resist improvisations, but requires a strict application of set criteria This is an efficient system of positive evolution in the higher education where the students should be active partners. Process also will make a loyal competition towards university of Prishtina. EUML is a fact that Bologna provides conditions to enter this European competition of knowledge.
Dr. Ahma said that Greece is a member of EU but she doesn’t wish to apply Process of Bologna in her universities.
Dean in the faculty of Economics, professor dr. Petrit Pollozhani talked for some new events which are applied in this faculty specially after one delegation from this faculty
visited university in England, in which the process of Bologna is in high grade. According to him the technologic changes in the world requests new information for development. He believes that Bologna process will give results also here and he pointed out that three teaching programs of economics are supported on the critters of Bologna process.
In the discussion took part and docent Senad Abduli from the faculty of Arts in the SUT, rofessor dr. Hamit Aliu from the faculty of Economy and Kushtrim Ahmeti, president of students union in the SUT. There were also students and pupils which made a lot of questions in this discussion. When it was talking about Bologna process their questions mainly were with critical and despaired tone.
