Press  conference on the occasion of promoting the activities for the First International Seminar of Albanology

On Monday (September 3 2007) was held a press conference on the occasion of promoting the activities of the First International Seminar of Albanology. The working and activity agenda of the Seminar in front the journalists was presented by : the manager of the seminar professor Qemal Murati , scientific secretaries doc. dr. Izer Maksuti and doc. dr. Nuri Bexheti, and also the  administrative secretary  of the Seminar, Mr.Abdulla Memeti. Below is appended the full announcement about the schedule and activities about the First International Seminar of Albanology.

As a manager of the Seminar I can confirm that from 17-23 September 2007 will be held the First International Seminar of Albanology, organized by the State University of Tetova.
The solemn opening of this seminar will be on Monday, on September 17 2007, in the surroundings of the State University of Tetova , at 11 am.

The activity  Albanologic Seminar that is organized for the first time in Tetova, is a result of  co-operation  in the domain of scientific research between the Universities of  Tetova, Tirana, and Prishtina ,where will be unfolded results ,thesis ,viewpoints and study methodologies in some domains of albanological studies.

The Seminar of Albanology will develop a densely weekly activity in these activities:
a)DISCOURSES(from experts of diverse domains of albanology :linguistics, literature, history, ethno culture )
b)book promotions (for some considerable valuable publishing in albanology (The Nobelists of literature ,Contemporary Albanian Dictionary ,Albanians in the Republic of Macedonia, Albanian-Macedonian lingual relationship, ,,Skenderbeu” from Marin Barleti and ,,Venetian Albania “ from Oliver Schmidt .
c)a course of albanian language for foreigners.
The main topic of the Seminar is Albanology  Today, Results and Tasks, whereas its sub-topics are spread in four domains :
Session of Linguistics:”Concerns of Modern Albanian Language” (there have occur and approved 33 commentaries).
Literature session : ” Occurrences of the evolution of the literature genre “(20 commentaries )
-The seminar of Albanology will have its object of study and promotion the national identity values (language, literature, history and ethnic culture), and will be the promoter of the SUT at home and abroad.
-The Seminar of Albanology will be held in the international city of culture in Ohrid, which is protected by UNESCO, because of the infrastructure and capacities  this city offers. The antic Lychnidos, except as a center of Slavic languages study center it will also be an important center of Albanian language studies.
-In different kinds of sessions of the seminar ,there will participate professors, scholars  and  researches from many university  and  academic centers :The University of Tetova ,South East European University ,The University of Tirana ,The University of Prishtina, The Academy of Sciences of  Albania ,The Albanological Institute of  Prishtina ,The University of  Skopje ,The Folkloric Institute of Skopje, The University of Vienna , The University of Naples , The University of  Berlin ,The University of  Poznanji ,The Adam Mickievic University from Poland ,The University of  Sofia etc.

The number of the visitors that have confirmed their participation is over ninety researches, from all the international areas: Kosova, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro etc and also from the outboard (Greece, Austria, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, and Poland). With their lectures will show up the well known researchers: Rexhep Qosja,
Jani Thomaj, Remzi Nesimi, Emil Lafe, Floresha Dado, Ethem Likaj, Seit
Mansaku, Gjovalin Shkurtaj, Jorgo Bulo, Agim Vinca, Ardian Ahmedaja,
Rusana Bejleri, Italo Fortino, Pandeli Pani, Aferdita Onuzi, Shefkije
Islamaj, Dimitar Pandev, Ludmil Spasov, Maciej Szymanski, Ali
Podrimja, Qemal Murati etc.

In the seminar except the visitors can take part also the other interested guests with self-finance. The lectures and commentary of this seminar will be printed in the special editions and they will be in the goodness of different researchers of Albanlogy.

The Seminar of Albanology has the own specifics in the contents and also in the organization. This seminar is not competitor or the copy of the Homolog Seminar of Prishtina, but is complete and it contents more 2 new sessions: for history and ethno culture. We consider that the Seminar of Albanology is the biggest investment in the SUT, in the scientific plan and this will make together many known albanologysts and will create new albanologysts. The Seminar of Albanology did show up great importance in the scientific centers in the country and abroad and for this reason a huge number of researchers we couldn’t add in program.  

In this format as is the seminar now, is more than seminar. I can say that this is Congress of Albanology. For the organization of the Seminar, we must mention the support from Ministry of Education and Science and also the Ministry of Culture in the Republic of Macedonia, respectively the ministers Mr.Sulejman Rushiti and Mr.Arifikmet Xhemaili, who supported us financially and. In this case in the name of the Seminar of Albanology I want to thank the ministers.
International Seminar of Albanology will be traditional.
Seminar will have its own edition.
