Delegacies from Health Ministries of Turkey and Macedonia in SUT 

In Friday (November 9th 2007) in State University of Tetova came delegacies from Health Ministries of Turkey and Macedonia with Ministers Mr. Imer Selmani and Mr. Recep Akdag. Together with them was also Ambassador of Turkey in Macedonia, Mr. Taner Karakash. 

Visit of Turkish Delegacy in SUT was part of program of agreement for cooperation between two ministries. Minister Recep Akdag expressed: “Our visit in State University of Tetova is to be informed for the actual situation in SUT and for the needs of this University, especially Faculty of Medicine. Meanwhile Rektor of SUT, Mr. Sadi Bexheti was grateful for the visit of delegacies from Turkey and Macedonia.

In this case, Rector of SUT in front of the guests presented the accredited faculties and shortly for the last changes in the University, especially for the Faculty of Medicine with the studding programs in Pharmacy and Infirmary and also he informed them for the preparations to start studding programs in General medicine and Dentistry in the next year. We made a short presentation for curriculum of SUT, concretely with opening of new faculties. There was agreement with Turkey since 1995, and this agreement now got renovated, but until now services from Health Ministry of Turkey were used only by Skopje University and now we have possibility to use their services too.

We have cooperation with universities “Trakia “from Edirne and “Yeditepe” from Ankara and with many other universities and faculties of medicine, and faculties of mathematic sciences. Next year all doctors will have the possibility to specialize in one of the Turkish universities, said rector Bexheti and he expressed: “Our cooperation with Turkish Universities is in very high grade. A large number of our professors and our assistants are having their doctorate and magistracy in Turkey and they have very good practices.

State University of Tetova is open for all the professors and we can realize very soon those professors from turkey to come and discourse in SUT”.
Minister Selmani informed them for the preparations to begin work the Faculty of Medicine in SUT. This is not easy work and we know that but we have lot of friends and those friends are our Turkish friends too, who will help us in this direction. With the beginning of Faculty of Medicine and with the transformation of Tetova hospital into Clinic students will do their practice and educational work. In this direction we have support from Health Authorities of Turkey.   
In this discussion were present also: Slobodanka Temova from sector of European integrations, Managers of General Hospitals: Asan Luma (Tetova),Betim Dauti (Gostivar), Shkelqim Selami (Diber), Faruk Saraci (Struge), and also Managers of Health Houses: Pllumb Vela (Tetove), Mensur Elezi (Gostivar), Lumi Pashuli (Diber), Vera Popovska (Struga).
