SUT is expected to be with 9 faculties
The Senate of SUT, on 18.april.2007 (Wednesday) held a meeting in which certain issues of the day were discussed and approved, one being the decision by the leadership to appoint lecturers according the employment add, published on 19.december.2006

The head of the Senate, prof.dr. Lutfi Istrefi said: The Senate of SUT held the meeting where few issues of the day were discussed, among many important issues was the approval of the decision of the rectorat of SUT to appoint lecturers according to the previous employment add, which we are gradually filling up, so that now there are few candidates left, about them there were few complaining. While applying the status, we held back these lecturers so that commissions could give their opinions on helping the university organs make their decision. We have chosen a great number of candidates, and all of them are nicely qualified.
The rector of the State University of Tetova, prof. dr Sadi Bexheti once more reminded that in this University the work will be in a transparent way. He pointed out that out of the 70 open vacancies by the Ministry of Education, 42 have already been filled.
So for the time being there are 28 vacancies are opened and for 18 of them none has applied yet. For 10 vacancies there were complains, for which there will be a decision one more time.
“It’s very important to mention that the Government of Macedonia and the Education Minister Sulejman Rushiti made possible the transfer of 2005 students from UT in SUT.
All students will be able to complete the transfer to SUT as full-time students. However, students who have already finished their second cycle from UT, their diplomas will be recognized” stressed Rector Sadi Bexheti.
Rector Bexheti made it known that SUT is applying a new plan programs which will make possible the opening of further institutes of Education, so in the future SUT is expected to have 9 institutions. Currently have 4 institutions and 2 studding centers.
The existing faculties; the faculty of Mathematical-Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics will not change. There will be added the faculty of Medical Sciences, with courses such as; Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical studies and Dentistry.
Dentistry is expected to be opened in the academic year 2009/2010, because the conditions for its openings already exist.
The Polytechnic Centre, which has functioned until now is expected to be returned into the Faculty of Applicative Sciences as is required by the Bologna declaration. Another faculty is expected to be Faculty of Philology Sciences in wish will be directions of Albanian, Macedonian, English and German languages. Later on is expected to be opened the center of studding the other languages too. This will be realized in co-operation with University of Skopje.
